WXTJ Jamz: Nahlij Corbin

Nahlij Corbin is a singer-songwriter from Charlottesville, Virginia. He is also known as a co-lead guitarist and vocalist for student-affiliated indie rock band, Souwa Cweam. Fusing indie, folk, rock, and blues with deft songwriting, Nahlij’s songs are a part of an emotional journey that ultimately leaves listeners with an unashamed picture of himself.
Something of deep importance to Nahlij and his music has been the development of personal relationships with those working in the Charlottesville music scene. He currently has two singles out on all streaming platforms, “Hard to Say” and “I’m Just Trying To Please You” — both of which were produced by UVA music student Elie Bashkow and feature UVA music student Ellis Nolan on bass.
